Has anyone mentioned The Offbeat Bride website - [link] I've been looking at it and there are some good ideas for weddings that are DIY and on a budget.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I found a way to type that doesn't bother my arm too much. Also, I think I'm getting better because I had an urge to start tidying.
Gah. My back still hurts after my fall last Monday. I've also noticed a little bit of swelling in my lower back. I don't think that was there yesterday. Methinks it's time to call the doc.

Hope your back feels better, Anne.
Ugh. I am sick of winter food. How long until there's good fresh fruit?
Interview went OK, I think. A good conversation. I am cautiously optimistic. At the end of the interview he mentioned another (better) job that would be opening up in the spring as well. I took that as a good sign.
I have a Manhattan in hand and all is well.
Yep, OBB is kinda my Bible for the wedding. It's not that I'm going from the idea of OMG crazy-fancy wedding to budget wedding; it's going from budget wedding-at-a-venue-I-don't-have-to-fix/clean/plant to OMG-$12-wedding.
A friend of mine suggested a park, and that's an option too.
I'm just readjusting my thoughts, basically. Sometimes just chatting about them is the best thing. I haven't changed my basic idea of a wedding; what I always wanted, and still want, is a fun day with close friends and close family, with a pretty outfit (KEY! it's the one thing I'm really kinda adamant about, and I don't think $375 for a wedding outfir I can wear over and over again is Bridezilla. Is it?), yummy food, cold drinks and kids running around and people chilling and talking and listening to music and not stressed or feeling like slaves to the kitchen.
Er, and for no one to fall through the deck, and maybe no branches or old lumber around. And grass that is mostly green. And maybe a flower or two.

As long as they're all locally sourced and sustainably produced.
I don't think $375 for a wedding outfit I can wear over and over again is Bridezilla. Is it?
Dude. NO. Not at all.
And you know... if you let Buffistas cook for you, you can have an affair that's as yummy as any of the finest catered jobbers. IJS...

Manolos are overrated. Louboutins on the other hand...
PANTIES MADE FROM MOONBEAMS
Careful, Victoria's Secret will try to market this.
