Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Shane is foamy!
I'll be soon heading out to a day in the library, and I opened it with Sonic Youth's Dirty. Perrrrrfect.
It's bad that I'm excited to sit on the books today? And that the only downside of the library, for me, is that you can't eat there (well, not that I'm expecting to eat next to The Books, but I'd love it if there will be a room with a microwave/hot water so I will be able to heat my lunch and eat there).
Yay, semester break! No more additional papers to read that are not for pure research purposes, baby!
but in general I find the baby-stealing/crazy nanny/ my daughter's a hooker/ ones tedious
They're like a car accident, though. You just have to look.
This one was particularly bad. It was "inspired by actual events," but I would say not done very ethically. I think most people watching it will think it was a true story, what with the actual footage of the mayor used and whatnot. It was based on a huge hullabaloo of a story that broke in Gloucester, MA a few years ago. And, of course, they didn't even respect the conclusions that were come to in the actual event. No, they went for the most sensationalized story line. Poor Gloucester.
My preference in bad movies is in the SciFi category not the Lifetime version. The world ending by toxic virus or invasion of the mansquito/body snatchers/swamp thing will entertain me quite effectively while still being totally mockable. Both the "inspired by actual events" Lifetime movies and the "it could happen" SciFi make for the @@, but I laugh for at the alien monsters and entertainment for me is about the laughing.
Hello Bitches! Once again I am up early. I woke at 3:15 but made myself stay in bed till 6:45. I should go for a swim.
Good morning, Laura! I'm sorry you couldn't sleep.
I don't mind, sj. I didn't want to get out of my usual sleep pattern. Also, this way I hope to be able to sleep on the red eye home tonight. I tried going for a swim, but couldn't get in all the way. The spa was nice though.
Good morning. I went to help out at the bake sale, and now I am cold. It looked like we were raising a decent amount of money, though -- I left after about an hour and a half, and I would guess there was about $300 or so by then, and it was supposed to run for four hours.
Now, time to snuggle under a blanket.
My oldest sister has a new blog post up. There's a picture of her with the buzz cut she got when she started losing her hair. Her husband got one in solidarity.
This is them: [link]
My middle sister and I both thought she looked gaunt at the time. We now know way, of course . . .
Anyway, quite fairly, she's not happy about how she's been taking care of herself all these years, exercising, eating well, etc., and there's no history of cancer in our family that we're aware of, and she's the one who gets hit. I can only imagine what she was thinking when she saw obese me. I wonder if I've told her about all my ailments and if that would make her feel any better.
Such an insanely unfair disease.
"inspired by actual events"
You know, whenever I see this I'm thinking "so was the dream I had last night, where again I was running late for something".
But no, these movies will never be about my dreams.
WHY, God, why?!
askye, I hope the line stays in this time, and that you're getting good rest despite the problems with it.
The Shanie bath pic is the best thing I've seen all day!
line stayed in. I slept four hours again, but if I had fell asleep when I was tired it would have been 5.
I called my boss left a message saying i wouldn't be able to work until thursday when everything is over.
