Randomly: a while ago, when I was pimping Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner, someone -- maybe Trudy? -- asked if the black liner had glitter in it (b/c the rest of the liners had glitter [or something shimmery; the eyeliner wasn't just matte]), and the answer was no. The black was the only one of the 24/7 line that had no glitter/shimmer.
HOWEVER! I was just poking around the Sephora site, and apparently Urban Decay DOES now have a black 24/7 eyeliner WITH glitter/shimmer. They still have the matte one also, but now there is glittery black.
This has been your girly-girl public service announcement.
ION, I need a haircut badly. It brushes my shoulders, and it's getting tiresome. I'm thinking ear-length and flippy. If only The Boy was blase about my haircuts.
IOotherN, I'm having a moderate IBS flare-up that I'm tempted to label "severe" only because it won't let up. Normally, with drugs, it eases up after a couple of hours, but it will not ease up today. I hurt so much just walking from my car to the gym that I stopped at the doors to the gym, turned around, and came home.
I always admit when I ate something to make it flare up (ah, sugar, my old nemesis), but this time I really *haven't*! At least, I haven't eaten sugar or any other thing know is a trigger.
I just want to fix it, but it's impossible to do so when I don't know what the cause was. Stupid body. Be more invincible!
askye, you're having a bit of the thinking that makes people stop taking antibiotics too early. They're because you're not well. Seriously. If you felt well, you'd know it. I bet you don't even remember what that feels like.
Nurses keep asking me why I haven't gotten an IV port. I'm insanely hard to stick. They talk about me behind my back at the nurse's station and try and get around IVing me. Last time they just went straight for the ej (vein in the neck--takes a doctor instead of a nurse) instead of fiddling with my arms, and it still took them three tries to get in.
But it sounds like a port is a fuss to maintain. I don't want one of those all the time! Sounds like a short term thing, if you can possibly restrict it. I honestly don't mind them poking around in my arms 8 or 9 times once a week. It just bruises awful messily.

Oil Slick came back? HALLELUJAH! (I have the Oil Slick lipstick. LOVE.)
askye, backing up what everyone else said. Please take care of yourself, honey.
Thank you everyone for telling me to stay home.
The nurse came and told me I had to stay home that I needed lots of rest So i called and left a message for my boss.
I just feel bad about letting my coworkers down you know.
ita you're right I don't even remember what it feels like to be well. First thing I'm asking my doctor on the follow up appointment is How long have I had this infection? Because I think this has been going on a long time.
The nurse was very nice, she loved my kitties. But I was dehydrated so after two false starts for getting blood for the peak test. I drank lots of water and she managed to get it.
I think part of my resistance to staying home is that I used to call in sick all the time when I wasn't really sick and so now I feel like I really have to justify it to myself. Which is something I need to get over.
Thank you guys for being the voices of reason for me.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTT!
But it sounds like a port is a fuss to maintain.
I've known people who had trouble with them, but I had a port for two years and it never really bothered me. I had to take a small daily dose of coumadin and the port had to be flushed with saline something like every six weeks.
How often were you using the access, Ginger? I'm getting two batches of shots a week (one line). Yes, it is a fuss for the nurses to get a line--it can take half an hour or so of rooting around, but a port sounds like a production.
It's also a certain investment of intent. I guess...I guess I don't mean to be that ill, and if I can suddenly stop....well, I'm pretending I haven't been at this for two years.

I'm so tempted to get the Oil Slick lipstick. So, so tempted. Because really, I need more black lipstick. I've seen samples of a prototype black shimmery lip color from Aromaleigh, and I am hoping like mad that they release it.
askye, I'm just going to stand behind everyone else and nod.

Only every three weeks. I chose a port because the chemo I was getting destroys veins, and they left it in until the odds improved that I wasn't going to have any more chemo in the near future. I certainly understand the investment of intent issue. That's one reason why people getting chemo choose not to get a port, but I figured I didn't have any veins to lose. I'm not easy to stick either. Putting in a port is surgery, albeit minor. It would depend on whether you think it could make your life easier overall while working on more permanent solutions.

Just FYI Wet 'n' Wild does one of those too. Probably not as good, but for the amount of use I'm likely to get out of it it works. (Might or might not be shimmery though - I can't remember.)
