oh I love the casino episode of TNG. I'm giggling like a loon watching Data play blackjack.
So if the aliens were going to create a world for you based on a book, which book would you want them to have?
'Bring On The Night'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

10% of iTunes copied over. Oy, this will be all night.
Hmm. That's a tough one.
My last post seems to apply well to both prior posts.
Life quite dull right now. Finishing book review today, then I really really have to send off PhD enquiries. Still replacing self-assured with Buffista-assured. What a great resource you people all are!
askye, that sounds like a lot of treatment. I hope it all goes OK. Are you getting any home-based help with either the treatment or your personal care needs? I do hope they're not neglecting your needs there. And I hope you're better very soon.
smonster, wishing you a good cat situation.
omnis, best of luck with the interview!
Shir, have a happy last day of the semester. How long do you have for a break? Enjoy it!

It's not a book, but in a heartbeat I'd move into the Muppets Theater world.

A month and some, give or take. Giving all of the papers and exams I have to do in this time... yikes. Yet, I'll be a mistress of my own time, AIFG.

O_a, bring along a few resume copies just in case. Chances are, as with anything theatre related, they already know everything they need from word of mouth...but it doesn't hurt to look prepared :) Humorous anecdotes highlighting how awesome you are = excellent. Avoid dirty jokes. If it's a university position play up your teaching and mentoring experience...all the interns who have thrived under yr tutellage blaggiddy blah.
I am like 20% worried and 80% irritated. Our dog Toby has always been really good about going outside, peeing, and then coming back in. Until PR we'd never had a closed in yard and it never mattered. But since we got here, he's been taking off. It may be because of all the deer/fox/bear around. Anyway, I pretty much only let them out on a leash now but they are much better at obeying Joe. Except this morning. Joe let Toby out at 4am. It's now 6:30 and he's not back yet. I can't go look for him because I'm home alone with the kids. (Joe had to leave about an hour ago.)
I'm pretty sure he's fine but he did this one other time and we got warned by the Humane Society for not having a license/letting our dog wander. He has a license now and a tag with our address. I just hope that if some person grabs him, they just call me instead of the Humane Society.
Stephanie, is there a neighborhood listserv where you could post to let people know you're looking for him?
O_a is this for a faculty or staff position?
Stephanie, yuck. I hope Toby comes home soon.

GENIUS. I would join you there.
o_a, you're going to rock it. And we'll get you all psyched up this weekend.
I think I caught Pisser about to spray this morning, but I scolded him and he stopped. He seems to do it not only to mark territory, but when he's mad (he was meowing to go out on the porch and I failed to comply). I think the Feliway is having some effect, though.
We're hosting a group of our colleagues from other campuses today from 10-3. It should be pretty fun and laid-back, really - I just have other things I need to do before I go. But I'll have some time tomorrow morning.
Since I probably won't be around much, I wish all y'all a lovely day.
