Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Amy - do tell the little bird that I am grateful for the news!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooh, thanks for the rec, Barb. I will need to replace mine at some point and I`d looked at that one but couldn`t justify the price. Good to hear it`s worth it.

I was about to be all "I'm going to Barb's house for dinner!" and then I realized I COULD be all "I'm going to Barb's house for dinner!". HOW COOL IS THAT????

(note: I am not ACTUALLY inviting myself to Barb's for dinner, both because I just ate some food, and because I'm supposed to go find these roller derby girls from Canada and show them around town. Ahem. BUT STILL!)

Also, I went and impulse bought some new eyeglasses today. And might go buy another pair. But they end up being $500-600 a pair. So that's kind of an expensive impulse buy. Ouch. But the one pair I really wanted, and the other pair is on clearance and if I don't buy them NOW, they might be GONE. Sigh.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I took a bolognese sauce down from the freezer. Pasta for dinner tonight.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm making a bolognese right now (AIFG) - must be something in the air.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

My poor momo had to have surgery today for stones in her bladder. Poor baby kitty. She has to stay at the vet for 2 days post-surgery, too. Not to mention the small fortune it's costing us. Argh.

I think they call it snow.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Bolognese sounds fabulous. But I`m making fajitas instead. But then, I only got rain, no snow yet.

The status is NOT quo.

For Trudy and Glam: flowers for a Hello Kitty themed wedding.

This is the florist who's doing our flowers, but alas, we're just getting a bouquet and some simple boutonnieres.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Three days, three days. I will be on the West Coast in three days.
This must be my new mantra, for today. Was not a good day. I must take solace in the fact that I can not please all people, and there will be people who don't think I am a good worker. And when everything goes completely wrong, and supports the notion that you are not a good worker, I will not take it personally.

Stopped at a pawn shop to see if there were any cheap laptops for the trip. I'm realizing that a new cheap laptop is about the same price as a pawned cheap laptop, only *new*! I might hit Best Buy tomorrow.
