Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Art Crawl!!!

Hey, remember that discussion of sciatica that happened not that long ago?

Well, how does it feel?

Because - I randomly started having a pain that I first noticed going up my left shin and then across the top of my thigh and ending right around my left hip. It's not going away. (I took a couple Tylanol Arthritis - hoping that would help.)

Is that what sciatica does? Or anyone have any other ideas?

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Today's 'Wake Up With Fry & Laurie' (there's not much Hugh) is dedicated to the insomniac Bitches. 'Go To Sleep With Fry & Laurie', if you will. [link] Language, baby.

sumi, I know nothing about sciatica, but I hope your pain improves. Can you get checked out by a doctor?

I'm thinking about applying to a PhD Disability Studies program in Chicago. Or at least inquiring into it.

I am crazy.

But I'm thinking about it.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Seska, I love the idea of you being in Chicago. And I'm really astonished that with all of the dissertation hell, you're still thinking of applying for PhD.

I'm skipping, again. Only tonight I'll have time to watch the good Doctor. I had a dream tonight that I was given (by my parents, I think), the second Great Trip Abroad I wanted, in the end of this academic year - and as thrilled as I was, I was very bothered that the dates might clash with some of my finals (my mind was all "San Fransisco!" (that was the location on the ticket) - "shit, the final in Social Theories!". Very bothering, indeed).

In the Most Unnecessary Class ever, yesterday, we were talking about translation. There's a Hebrew/Yiddish term, "lefargen", means (by my online dictionary): "(Yiddish) (colloquial) to treat favorably, to treat with equanimity, to bear no grudge or jealousy against". The teacher said there's no word for it, and all I was thinking "sure there is. To support one in emails in lefargen". That was something that I knew only you would understand.

I need to stop skipping. I'm really missing the time to read here thoroughly, and I feel like a miss a lot. Plus, I miss you people.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

More Ryan photos! Includes the joy of solids, and his first stay away from home. Starts here: [link]

I've been bonding with one of my lecturers over babies. He and his wife had their first child about a month ago. (He also apparently expects me to do well in this unit, which, no pressure.)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, and another thing.

In an "hello!" post on my other (minor!) board, someone introduced herself by saying she loves polar bears.

It took a great deal out of me not to reply with "And how do you feel about Tino?".

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It took a great deal out of me not to reply with "And how do you feel about Tino?".

Do you know how many times at work I've had to stop myself from saying "work it out in thread and then come to me."

Our wings are not tired.

This shot is my favorite. [link]

Can we get going with that cloning thing? I have so much to do at home, and so much to do at the office. Need another me.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Adorable Ryan pictures!

I woke up at least twice last night. Not sure why. Actual full night's sleep would be nice.
