Stylin'!
Meanwhile, in my neck of the woods: Ryan has his first tooth! Thank you, we're very proud. I'd like to thank the element calcium for making it all possible. In other news, it's surprisingly difficult to keep a straight face when singing lullabies to a small boy who wants to play peekaboo with the blankie.
My other news: I had a job interview on Friday. One of my lecturers from last semester recommended me. I managed to get through the interview without embarrassing myself. It's a small investment firm, doing essentially what my old firm did. They want someone to build asset models for them, which is pretty much my area of expertise. Oh, and they want someone part-time, which is exactly what I'm looking for while I'm doing my Masters.
I'm pretty sure I've found myself a new job. I'm just waiting to find out they intend to pay me in snowglobes and a shiny button.
I believe Amyth is managing her small dog's arthritis with glucosamine and some pain killers, and the dog's still trucking around without a lot of pain.
That's good to hear. Thanks.
And in important news: An aftershock shifted things just right for a cell signal to get through and 60 people are alive in a collapsed grocery store. Some of them have been able to reach food. A hose has been gotten in to the five people a salvage crew was already on the scene rescuing.
{{{Trudy & Dallas}}} You're a good doggy mama.
Glad my tag gave you a good laugh - cracked me up when I saw it on my lgbt parenting board.
{{Trudy}} Would you like me to find out what amyth's dog is on?
Glad to hear Ryan is progressing apace. I think photographic evidence of said tooth is required.
smonster, are there other cats in your household? Spraying Cat might prefer to be the Only Cat. Is he neutered?
Yes, I have two cats. But he wasn't spraying until the Xmas tree. He's also gotten more agressive towards my cats. When he first got here he wanted to play and they were like WTF? We're too old for that shit. Also, he's not very human-focused. He'll accept pets but doesn't seek them out. That's another reason we think the cat refuge may be a better place for him.
Anyway, I'll talk to roomie when she gets home.
{{{Trudy}}} I'm sorry. Dallas is such a wonderful dog.

Emeline drew this picture this morning: [link]
She has been about nothing but Dr. MLK, Jr for two weeks. It's fairly awesome.
That's a very good picture, Aimee. I couldn't have done that well when I was twice Emeline's age.
Emeline is quite the artist. It's amazing how she can't seem to focus on much, but she hyper-focuses when she's drawing or painting.
Yay MLK!
I'm watching Graham Norton and figuring out the proper balance of productivity and slounging for the day.
I'm 40% done with my cleaning today.
