Mal: There's plenty orders of mine that she didn't obey. Wash: Name one! Mal: She married you!

'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Toast and marmalade.

These are the ones I *really* want

Those are nice, too. But the first pair are pretty nifty. I'd consider them if I could do the heel.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, hm, if the first pair is just consolation for the shoes you really want but can't have, I don't know, Aims. If every time you wear them you'd be thinking wistfully of those mary janes, well, that's not fair to either of you, is it?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

This. ADHD is as different from normal boingy childhood behavior as depression is from "feeling down in the dumps."

So, so true. And speaking to the latter half of that statement, understanding that depression is different from "just having a few bad days" is HARD.

How does everybody else plan to celebrate their fetishes?

Um, re-reading my favorite epic vampire fic? Oh wait, I was doing that already.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Now I want these but I so can't afford them. I have already been bad in a month that included needing a shipment of oil.

Oh good lord. Why would anyone care? I haven't done many of the quizzes, but assumed they were more for fun than any serious matching component.

So, people are harsh about being there for a specific personal reason but NOT about people there to cheat on their spouses? Interesting.

Still, I've had better experiences with OkCupid than any other such service so...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, is there any basis for the rumor that OKCupid tends to reject atheists more than believers?

That was my experience with EHarmony but not with Ok.

Perhaps I misremembered.
