River: You're not right, Early. You're not righteous. You've got issues. Early: No. Oh, yes, I could have that. You might have me figured out, then. Good job. I'm not 100%.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I too am enamored of the library wedding. Total nerd porn.

The status is NOT quo.

Wow! What a great venue for a wedding!

Kate, the red and gold wedding dress sounds perfect. You will look gorgeous.

I'm so happy about all the good news! Well done, 2010! Keep it up!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Yep, they rent it out for events. I am so excited I thought of it; I was looking at venues and they're SO expensive and formal and not me, and I was trying to think of someplace that would be me. It's gorgeous, but it's BOOKS. Tons and tons and tons of BOOKS.

Libraries are my churches.

Jilli, I can't link to it on my phone, but check out the red velvet jacket on sale at the White House, Black Market website.

Any Bay Area-istas, if you shop White House, Black Market and find that the Corte Madera store is not out of your way, K-Bug can probably get you a discount.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

K-Bug works there? I have a wee one that works there too. Nifty.

I love the idea of a wedding in a library.

Other states are allowed to have nutria? I thought they were exclusive to Louisiana.

They are *supposed* to be. They thought they might be good for fur and then thought again. Now we've got some free-range nutrias. They're cute.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Now that I am home, this is the jacket I was talking about.

TCG and I looked at one place for the wedding a while back and the planner was showing us the lovely garden, and we asked if we could get married in front of the bookcase instead.

I was originally thinking "Hmm, a bookstore?"

DAN is an atheist, and I'm a cheerful agnostic, his son is half-Jewish and I just want to be surrounded by people I love having a good time, eating yummy bits and drinking some decent booze and for me to wear a pretty dress.

It's pretty much the way I envision my funeral, also, actually. Except I hope to not be all corpsified at my wedding. And get some lovin'.

Should we pulp you with the books?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

mmm.... there is a book store on the coast of Ca that has weddings.

The cat has been sleeping in the bedroom all day. Now that I'm getting up every few minutes to get dinner going, he wants my lap

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So my dad just called. We talked for a while about coming back from vacation, being in a play, the weather, and such, all the while my heart pounding waiting for the shoe to drop.

Thankfully, my dad appears to be playing the calm, rational one this time. He said my uncle could pick up the necklace, and I could pick it up when I visited, and carrying it in my pocket was fine. It was all about beliefs anyway, and if it worked, it worked, and if it didn't, it didn't, and I should continue doing what I needed to do as well. He acknowledged that my mom Gets Like This, and we shouldn't take it personally. Call her tonight and meld anything that's been broken, and move on.
