I smoked about once a week since Thanksgiving, 2-3 hits each time, last time was Christmas day. I'm thinking I'm likely to pass but I wonder if I should buy a cleanser to make sure, or if they test for those. I don't even know if I'm getting an interview, let alone a drug test. Perhaps the weed has made me paranoid.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
good thoughts for you tomorrow, askye.
I would say just don't smoke and drink water. Those cleansers are hookum. Just get the job, then they'll bring up a test or no.
If you're not a heavy smoker, you should be ok at 4 weeks clean. I smoked a jay with friends about a week before a drug test -- I had no IDEA this job would test -- but I hadn't smoked in months and months, so I was worried, but not too worried. Turned out ok.
cool, thanks Erin.
drug tests are usually done by the co doctor -- so it isn't until they have all but hired you. So worse case a week -- more usual at the current job hire rate, a few weeks.
Askye, I hope things are figured out quickly.
Erin, silk velvet is a lovely fabric, but shows any creases and pulling very easily. Plus it's difficult to work with. So perhaps not the best fabric choice for a corset. As to how long a custom corset would take, that depends on the maker, but I've usually had a 6-8 week wait.
I love my corset(s) from Meschantes. I also love my corset from Dark Garden, but I purchased it from them over 12 years ago, way before their prices went up. I also HIGHLY recommend Marie at the Fitting Room: [link]
Aargh. I bought a transit card and was all proud if myself for doing so before they cost money (had to order it online) and I've promptly lost it before I even had a chance to use it. I hope it's in the house somewhere and I didn't do something stupid like use it as a bookmark in a library book or drop it. I HAD it...somewhere. I swear I thought I put it in my wallet but it's not there! The good thing is I figured out what "clever" hiding place I put my credit card. That was less worrisome though, since I didn't immediately need it, and I knew it was in the house. Hidden. Somewhere. Also, I think I have a stress fracture in my foot. The opposite one from the one that just healed from having a binder dropped on it a month ago. Grump.
t eta: it may be past my bedtime.
bonus to working night shift again: i had a hot fudge sunday shortly after breakfast (because i was out and running errands before work.)
Good-testing~ma, askye.
Erin, a September 2010 wedding sounds fab! (I think we'll be December.) Wishing you fantastic corsets.
Don't have much to say, but hi all, anyway.
Holy hell, the temperature today was 110 degrees or so (in 'Murrican). Not fun. Our house's cooling system has been getting quite the workout.
Ryan coped pretty well with it. He missed out on his afternoon walk, as we don't wish to roast our baby. Actually, he's been developing in leaps and bounds. Over the space of about a week or two, he's: started babbling consonants (and growling, that's always entertaining), clapping his hands and crawling forward. We remain very proud of the little man, of course. (We may have new photos soon.)
Meanwhile, I have a sort of job interview on Friday. One of my lecturers from last semester is putting me forward for some consulting work. Don't know how much they need doing, but it's right in my line of work and I'll be glad of the income. Fingers crossed it works out.
