Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

We picked up the keys to the house and spent a couple of hours over there-- it was the kids first time and they're beyond jazzed at their new spaces. Then, since they were still dragging a little after a very long day yesterday, we took them back to the hotel while we went to run some errands in the early afternoon. Afterwards, we picked them up and went poking around a bit before having dinner and making it another somewhat early evening.

I think tomorrow we're going to be tourists and take them down to Seattle Center and Pike's Place.

Oh, and we spent some time at our new local bookstore- Third Place. Abby's in manga/graphic novel heaven. She picked up a couple more instruction books and has been happily sketching all day.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm watching Cheaper by the Dozen. It's horrible. It was just almost redeemed by a scene of Hilary Duff trying to stop Jared Padalecki from bullying Tom Welling, though.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think I may have enjoyed that movie a little. I've seen worse, for sure.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

stop Jared Padalecki from bullying Tom Welling

This will never stop being funny to me.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

for some reason I'm watching "Demons" again. I so want it to be good. At least this episode doesn't have Mackenzie Crook as Witchiepoo.

Yeah, I've definitely seen worse. And it does have its moments.

Hilary Duff physically getting in between Tom Welling and Jared Padalecki to stop a fight was fabulous. Just so improbable-looking.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Wow. I read this as buying at first, and got REALLY confused.

Barb, Third Place is SO AWESOME. I love it.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

At long last I met my sweet Tao. We talked about the stylistic and topical similarities between folk and punk. He's beautiful.

So, alas, is his girlfriend. At least, however, for once, I fell for a straight boy.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Welcome home, Barb!
