Wordnik is fun! I am doing a lot of writing for work and it helps my insecurity with word usage when I see the examples. Spell check takes care of the simple dictionary stuff. Wordnik reassures me that people really use that word that way.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Captain John Sheridan: "Well, as my great-grandfather used to say, 'cool.'"
Happy B-day, ChiKat! I only just realized I hadn't subbed to the new Bitches so I'm way behind.
Has anyone ever bought stuff from myshape.com? I kind of love the idea of it. It's a clothes shopping aggregator, from what I can tell, but you set up a fairly exhaustive profile with preferences and measurements, so what they show you in a search is profiled to what will fit and, hopefully, flatter. From what I've seen so far they seem to be hitting things well. It leans a little toward the pricy side but there's definitely a lot that's reasonable. They've got a big sale going on this weekend so I thought I'd mention.
Happy birthday ChiKat!
I spent 5 hours learning how to maintain my bike today. Fun, but then I was too tired to go for a ride, as I had half planned. Tomorrow morning, though, gonna check out the sweet action on my perfectly adjusted shifters.
You know what I hate?
I hate it when I act like an asshole for no good reason and then have to apologize for it.
I hate it a lot.
Hil! I missed your birthday. Happy belated birthday, and I hope it was grand!
Wordnik is on my toolbar. I love that tool.
It now costs $185, that's over 18 hours' wages, for me to see a doctor. And I have insurance.

I'm with you. I ruined last night by being a sodding idiot. I'm trying to work out how to apologise. (Being in pain all the time makes me cranky, and generally sucks - but is a reason, not an excuse.)

Flippin' 'eck that's a lot. Note to self: moving to the States would be expensive.
Insurance in the USA is very crappy for people employed by companies with less than a couple hundred workers.
Really small businesses are forced to offer things like $2500/year deductible just to offer any insurance at all.
