Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Dream Girl ,'Bring On The Night'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I think the semi-colon deserves equal time. Teppy?

The semi-colon is the most elegant of the punctuation marks. It is severely misunderstood, misused, and under-used; as such, I try to work it into as many sentences as possible.

(See what I did there?)

“Not dead yet!”

Such a sneaky wordnerd.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Shanie had to get tested again for his jaundice today and now I'm worried he may end up back at the hospital for fluids and light therapy. Please send the ~ma that his number goes down today. Not serious, but enough to make his Mama teary.

~ma for the little guy. I thought he looked the same shade as my oldest nephew's baby pictures. Incidentally, oldest nephew is 25, happy and healthy.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

it snowed today. clearly, armagedon is upon us in fair pdx: night came early, the earth halted in its orbit, birds fell lifeless from the sky, and every car on the freeway apparently came to a grinding halt to watch the big fluffy blobs o precipitation.

On the bright side, i had a lovely back adjustment, made it home safely (and yeesh, my chiropractor actually escourted me to my car like i used to walk with my fragile gramma)and the kitties are now clean freshly bathes and self grooming their distress away.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It's a snowmageddon. Pretty but only if it goes away soon.

They are talking about having an "incentive" at work to make sure we send out only equipment that is positively needed at a site. If the part that comes back tests OK, they will deduct the shipping form our bonuses

Ouch. Your job is helpdesk, to make sure on the phone first that it's broken?

Yay Barb will be here soon! Wheeeeeee!!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Why has corporate America become the purview of Ebeneezer Scrooge? Or Attila the Hun? Actively trying to make things like airline trips and oh, your job, a hardship and a misery?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I'm trying to design an apron with my friend from Columbus. Black with ruffles and a logo that says, "Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pies. Made Fresh Daily." With a pie with a knife cutting into it and the quote, "Worst pies in London."

Possibly with a small, ruffled pocket that looks like it's dripping blood.

I need an apron just like that. Really, I do. Very, very much.

Snow here in Dallas too. Again.

ION- I'm on season 2 of Faracape, and have just discovered my fav episode. "Out of Their Minds". Since we are tv geeks here, I thought I'd share.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Snow here in Dallas too. Again.

See, and here I spent much of yesterday afternoon recovering from heat exhaustion.
