Wait. People? She eats people? 'To Serve Man.' It's 'To Serve Man' all over again.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

dcp, for the save. I had to put the kids to bed, askye, but I strongly suggest working through the settings on your router to troubleshoot.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hello, Bitches. Happy Last Week of the Year to everyone!

Holiday was good, 'twas the second family gathering in two months with zero drama, it's amazing. Since the two nieces declared their undying hatred of each other, all drama has ceased; they are entirely civil and even bought each other appropriate and fun presents. Youngest niece wants to move out of state but has no job prospects anywhere. (She is like me: lots of talent and education; zero ambition or interest in a definable career.) Oldest niece has found True Love again, I think this is True Love #6. Luckily this one seems both mentally and financially stable. She is happy and nice when she's being adored, so we are grateful to T.L.#6 as long as he lasts. There was food and napping and presents; my sister and I gave each other 32" LCD HDTVs, and mine is sitting here now in its box, waiting for me to get the courage to hook it up.

Also, my sister gave me a haircut - I said "short" and that's what she did. There's less than an inch at the nape of my neck. It's perky and cute. No idea what it'll look like in a month, but for now, I like it.

2009 was the best year of the decade for me. Looking forward to 2010!

Feel free to grace us with pictures.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Morning! I am apparently part of the morning crew today, thanks to a flight back to the west coast. (BLAH) Whoever designed the new Indianapolis airport was a moron--put the food court OUTSIDE security?? WTF?? (Yes there is food inside too, but...) Hrmph. I want McDonald's but will have to hope I have time in O'Hare to get some.

However, there IS free Google Wifi here. Yay.

I'm not sure I'll be able to resist taking a nap when I (eventually) get home, though possibly saying that means something awful will be (...good god, someone with the last name RAPER?? is being paged?).

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Blargh. I do not want to go to work today.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Sorry, beth. Much ~ma for Matt.

Today I get to make runs to the dump, the grocery store, and the cable office, rearrange my living room, clean out part of the storage shed behind my apartment, and probably put in a few hours of work. As I've had this day scheduled for vacation for over a month now, the last one annoys me the most. Luckily I can do it from home, so I won't have to keep my swearing subvocalized.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

~ma for Matt.

Busy busy busy. Trying to pack for Israel (leaving in three hours) but keep getting distracted. Put Christmas photos up. A couple of my two-year-old niece are public for the next hour or two - [link] . Cutest thing you ever saw, yes?
