I had Valium before my LASIK. I could totally get used to it.
Cash, do you think that some people just have addictive physiologies? It would make total sense to me.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I had codeine cough syrup during the plague last year and that stuff was faaaantastic. i'm just not getting the vicodin and oxy. maybe it's just that it acts on different parts of the brain and i'm not susceptible to the stuff. much like my poor younger cat is not sensitive to nip. poor dude.
eta: *sigh* i am so ready to climb back into bed and sleep some more.
The thng I really loved was flexeril. Although it also may have been the reduction in pain.
My deceased cat, Mr. Kitty, seemed to react to the nip like it was opium. He was so blissed out, he looked like he should have a cat sized hookah by his side.
I'm also on flexeril. The prescription says to take one at bedtime. In practice, it knocks me out, so whatever time I take it ends up to be bedtime.
Amarna gets zonked out when she has nip. She knows where I keep it, in the coffee table drawer which is now covered with claw scratches all along the top edge because she scratches at it until I pull out the little tub and place a big pinch of nip on her kitty crack pad. She'll eat it all up and then just lay there, vegged out for a while.

Oh, man, I love that stuff. I hoard it.

Neither of my cats react to it at all. And they're not related or anything.
I just remembered that Mr. Kitty also went crazy for Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer Tea. Turns out it contains catnip!
Scrappy, that's horrible. I'm not sure there's enough ~ma in the world for it, but if there is, I'm sending her mine.
I think I've mentioned here Amarna's fascination with mint, specifically the red-and-white-striped peppermint hard candy that I pilfer from the receptionist's desk. When I take them home and toss one in my mouth, the cat has to run up to me and stick her nose next to my mouth (and in it, if she could) to smell it.
Shir, it was nice to chat about French verbs with you this evening.
Better than nice, missy!
Seriously, y'all. The Girl and Seska are absolutely wonderful to talk with, and they should have their own radio show. There's just that good. I'm not exaggerating or anything - they just are.
