my church has cancelled some non-religious-service events ... and the first flake (snow flake) hasn't shown up yet.
I've already made the decision to close the library tomorrow, through noon on Sunday, but we won't make it public until later in the day. Finals are done, there are no papers due, and I'm not going to make people (esp. our student workers) worry about the weather and dragging themselves in here.
They're predicting snow for Christmas Eve and Day here. I am hoping that will change because it is going to make driving between here and RI and visiting relatives difficult.
26 years in, and the sight of NC people getting their snow panic on is still hilarious. Ah, the gift that keeps intermittently giving.

There's a tall, beefy red-headed lumberjack dude in my office. I think I might wrap him up and send him to juliana for Christmas.
Today is the Supreme Court's holiday party. Sotomayor won't be there, but Scalia will be leading the xmas carol sing-along.
I'm supposed to drive a 20 ft truck to campus and pick up a bunch of pallets this afternoon. I'm thinking... no. Feel free to mock, but I remember the great snow clusterfuck of a couple years ago, when it snowed a quarter inch and everyone left at once and people spent 8 hrs in their cars, trying to get home.
Of course, I'm still going to KBD's tonight.
Some sort of nasty stomach virus seems to be infiltrating our office. Our office manager caught it from her brother, and now amyth is fighting severe nausea. Lordy I hope I don't get it.

You may want to ship him around a bit to some other Buffistas, so we can inspect him properly and make sure he measures up to juliana's exacting standards.
Just a suggestion.
I can do that.
"Excuse me, sir, could you just step over here? Towards our shipping department?"
I think I'm closest, just FTR.
