That is so awesome. In, like, the real sense.
In the eighties I knew an old dude who would say "'Awesome' should be reserved for God and the Grand Canyon."
And Shane.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am jealous that she gets to do all that. Wish I could be a part, too.
Well, you get to breast feed. You'll have a whole lifetime of being Momcookie. You won't run out of opportunities to soothe and cosset.
Also, hope your flu subsides quickly! Being sick sucks.
It does! It's much better than it was. I was home most of last week sick with Emmett. We watched the whole LoTR trilogy in a feverish stupor. Then I thought I was better and did my Tom Waits movie and the next night, Friday, my fever shot back up to 103.3 while I was home alone with Matilda. Miserable!
Anyway. No fever now. Mild aches. I hope this the last of it. To compound everything when I took Nyquil after my fever spiked I slept so hard I didn't move during the night and pinched a nerve in my shoulder. So that was hurting too on top of my already lengthy list of complaints.
I'm done complaining. Christmas is coming. Shane's coming. This year sucked for me but I'm ready for a new one. A whole new decade, in fact. The decade Emmett will go to college. The decade of Matilda's childhood. Bring the twenty-teens.
Baby baby baby! Ok, not yet, but we need to prepare.
Shir, we'll be here for the next twelve months too, whatever they hold.
Reposted from elsewhere on the internet:
"Is there a grammatical term for a phrase that, when a person uses it, it automatically disproves itself?"
"It's auto-ironic asphyxiation. As in, you've choked off any chance of being taken seriously."
I knew that my grammar bitches would love this.
Ha! Awesome.
This time next week, we will have a baby.
Poking head in again to say YAY! Baby! Much, much, much soothing and ~ma. Y'all will come through it like champs and at the end of it, BABY!
Back to packing with me.
Palindrome of sorts: [link]
GC, tons of calm-ma for you between now and the C-section. I can't wait to hear all about Shane!
Lots of ~ma, GC.
I spent most of today putting together the basic layout for my dissertation. So far, I set up the chapter headings and table of contents and bibliography, and I copied and pasted in some stuff from various other files. That stuff needs some serious editing, but right now, I've got 48 pages. Kinda starting to feel like I can do this.
