He doesn't travel well. He's like fine shrimp.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Woohoo, GC!

House~ma for you, Plei.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Anyway, if they continue to refuse to give us seats I can actually get to, we're a) going to request the aisle wheelchair to get to the toilet every fifteen minutes during the flight, and b) sue the pants off them when we get home.

I just read something about a blind woman who was not allowed on a Quantas flight because they refused to allow her guide dog on board. (This was in Australia, so not subject to American laws.) After being stranded for a day with no lodging or transportation or food for the dog, she was allowed on a flight.

After lodging a complaint, Quantas was all, "Sorry, that shouldn't have happened." Uh. Quantas would be paying all of my bills from that trip, is all I'm saying.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Accessibility~ma for Seska, and congrats on your certification.

House~ma for Plei.

There's a great song out there called Drag Queen Christmas.

I may need to track that down.

I've also got Dennis Leary's "Merry Fucking Christmas."

Somehow I think Sesame Street would be easier to get away with.

One of my coworkers (at my joking request) brought back some Real English Toffee from her trip to London. Oh, gods. Total foodgasm. Kraft Caramels should hang its HFCS head in shame.

And now... hair poll! I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow - going for the Rihanna look, as I have for the last year or so. [link] But since I got $125 worth of services for $65 at an auction, I'm going to do color as well. It's going to be red, about like juliana usually wears hers.

So my question is... red highlights or red all over? I think I'm leaning towards the latter. My mom's going to flip her shit... I wonder if she'll say anything about me ruining Xmas pics. I'll just tell her to fix it in Photoshop (not that she could, she struggles with Word).

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Quiet-work~ma for Andi, and house~ma for Plei.

Steph, in America you'd be able to sue the airline for at least the extra costs of the trip. In other countries (I believe Australia is similar to the UK in this), there are massive loopholes in the laws on disability access that allow these companies to get away with a lot of crap. As much as I say we'll be sueing them (I think I can't spell that), we might well find that no lawyer is willing to take the case. If the EHRC is interested, we'll go for it. Otherwise, we could lose everything trying. It means the Disability Discrimination Act has no teeth, and companies know that. Hmph.

Accessibility~ma for Seska, and congrats on your certification.

Thanks, but not certified yet! Just accepted onto the trainers' course. It'll be the last in the various things I've needed to do to become qualified, so I'll finally be there. Which is exciting.

Doh! So much for reading comprehension.

Speaking of reading, erika, I read your column. Good one! I liked it.

In less drastic but still slightly annoying airline!fail, Delta seems to have *not* sent me an email with my ticket for my January trip. But I got my trip insurance email, and the charge went through. The real fail is that I emailed them and got an auto-response saying they'd get back to me. In three to four days. WTF? Note to self: always save or print the confirmation page.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hey P-C - just in case you haven't purchased the gift for the person who likes knitting:

Thanks, tommyrot! I already got the books, though. I have other friends who knit, however, so it's good to keep in mind.

I think I figured out why my parents seem to have done a 180 on my skipping the family cruise to go on a personal road trip: the family cruise got canceled. Good thing I didn't buy a ticket home or anything! Of course, I only found this out from my siblings.
