You all gonna be here when I wake up?

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I can't see what that movie is about, but my last work gay boyfriend lived in an apartment with 2 lesbians who did a documentary(I think) about vibrators.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I have an innate ability to figure out how things work and to repair them.* Plus I really enjoy it.

Huh - I should put that in my profile for online dating sites....

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy will star in indie romantic comedy "Hysteria," centered on the invention of the vibrator in Victorian-era England.

"Hysteria," penned by Stephen Dyer and Jonah Lisa Dyer, is directed by Tanya Wexler. Jonathan Pryce and Rupert Everett have already been signed to co-star.

Ah. Doesn't look like the kind of thing the lesbians did.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

At the university garage today, the compact car section once again had a car only in every other spot, because almost all of them were taken up by SUVs and minivans and pickup trucks, which didn't allow space for anyone to park next to them. If you're driving an enormous car, why park in a compact spot when there are plenty of regular spots available.

Compassionately intolerant

I hate rescue people like that. Fortunately, I do not know many who are.

Thankfully, neither do I.

This situation has really been straining my sincere appreciation of the high standards of adoption agencies/rescues around here. NObody wants a dog returned, so I've never complained about what seems intrusive or touchy about applications.

I mean, thank GOODNESS for those regulations or I would not have sailed past 5 other applications to get Bartleby. But this woman is just beyond the pale.

Realizing that, I need to just shake it off so I can be there for the adopter.

I'll confess that my one fear is that this woman knows something about the dog that she is not telling the adopter...given her rapid (pun intended) focus on group socialization. It's waay past normal Schnauzer stuff.

If she's hiding something, while beating up on me, somebody's reputation is going to take a major hit and I guarantee, it will not be mine.

Todd, heh. I thought of that after I hit post.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Doesn't look like the kind of thing the lesbians did.

We could have invented the vibrator.

Because you're a self entitled shit? Oh, wait, you're driving an SUV, we already knew that.

(excepting of course, people who drive SUVs because they actually haul shit, not just for status)

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I mean the documentary the lesbians my work gay boyfriend lived with made. I think theirs was about vibrators being banned in Texas.
