Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike ,'Conversations with Dead People'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

See, I went to more of a superhero place. "In this gown, I am MIGHTY!".

Sorry about that. I blame either the NGA brain. Or the XY chromosomes. Or combination of the two.

Our wings are not tired.

It sounds like a very nice family weekend, Teppy. I hope you are well rested today.

Interview~ma for Joe!

My mom's last surviving lifelong friend passed this morning. It was expected, but it leaves mom the sole survivor with no one that remembers stuff from her childhood. The woman's 4 surviving children grew up with me. Her daughter that was my age passed earlier this year. Poor woman lost her mother, husband, daughter, and younger brother within a few years. She was quite ready to join them.

I'd planned to head back to Florida on Friday but now I need to wait until I know what the funeral plans are. Not that it is all about me, but I do need to make some plan since my son's 16th birthday is Sunday and school starts Monday. Going home really does need to happen soon.
