So apparently my dad is basically in denial, and he told my brother that he needs to focus on his studies and "the other thing, what they found, what they discovered" is wrong and not our culture. And he asked, "What is this about a dog and a cat?" And my brother said that there is a dog and a cat there sometimes, and he said, "That is not going to work." (Fuck the girlfriend, you have PETS????) He said he didn't need to get angry, but my brother had to come have a talk with them. That'll be a fun talk, I'm sure, as my dad obviously believes he can just convince my brother to break up with his girlfriend of three-and-a-half years because it's not our culture.

Oh lord. Best wishes for your brother, and I'm so glad you have each others backs. But is it wrong that my first thought was that now anytime your mom starts in on you you can be all "I'M NOT THE ONE WITH THE SHE-DEVIL".
