Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

Sox, Rahm Emanuel calls those people "fucknuts."(And probably a few other things, too, but you know, man's got a rep.)

What is even happening?

I'm less concerned if any of my Christian friends think homosexuality is a sin, provided they remember it's not our place to point out people's sins. We shouldn't even be noticing them; we (Christians, that is) are each supposed to concentrate on our own. My pride, or hatred, or blah is no cleaner than someone else's stuff.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Steph, matt and I were talking about you and Tim the other day - and family issues . We are so happy that you found Tim , because you seem to have also found a family that loves you , just as you . Now after reading about you r FIL's words, I know it is true.

My mom had an exchange with my uncle after I pushed her to call (why, after bullying my dad to follow his instincts and visit, she hadn't called despite my dad being a lousy source of info, I don't know. Well, I do, but.)

When I told him I realized how hard it was for him he replied, "That's what love is."

And he's a fellow taciturn, macho type.

I'm glad that all y'all are getting the same family love.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sean, that conversation really should be back out in public, if only because I want to continue reading it. I was so impressed with how civil and and intellegent it was.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I just read it in Gollum's voice.

My preciousssesesssseesss.

I'm also fond of "the sin-laws" and "the out-laws,"

I like using "out-laws" for in-laws who need rectal-cranial inversion therapy.

Douchetards

I hate to be language police, but could we not use "tards" as a part of derogatory constructions, please? It's really ugly and insensitive. I'm sure you didn't mean any harm, but ... well... the truth is, that the vast majority of the individuals I've known who have mental retardation are vastly more emotionally mature and socially responsive than Teppy's coworkers appear to be, and don't deserve to be lumped in with them. I can think of one who might never say a word, but who would wordlessly pour Teppy a cup of coffee or get her a pop, just for an example of actual compassion.

I know his family thinks of me as family. And it's sad that my co-worker is so closed-minded to think I can't be family because of legalities. What a sad, narrow worldview.

I'm glad you got to have that conversation with your father-in-love.

Go Teal'c!

Indeed. Christopher Judge did such a brilliant job, those facial expressions were so subtle yet telling. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Congrats, P-C, and break a leg!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Thanks for saying something, Windsparrow. I feel the same way.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I hate to break into the real stuff going on here, and be all me-me-me--but look at what my husband got me for my birthday! Holy moly! [link]

Pretty as all get out. And I know it was on sale, since that is one of his (and my) requirements for buying jewelry. I didn't even know there were black sapphires! They are indeed black, but have a lovely hint of blue in them. It looks very deco and vintage, which I really like. I don't get dressed up much, but I think it'll look cool with a black blouse and jeans.

Okay, squeeing is over.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I keep having this picture in my brain of Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn singing "We are Family."

Now tagless for your comfort.

Wooo hooo! Major props to the hubby for the excellent birthday gift!

And Happy Birthday, Scrappy!
