Well, lady, I must say-- You're my kinda stupid.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Do I wear a sleeveless shirt underneath the sari?

I wore three parts. A short-sleeved snug half shirt, an ankle-length fitted under-skirt, and the sari its self. Some of the groom's aunties came early to wrap and pin all the not Indian bride's friends into our clothes.

Wikipedia's article is a good place to start. [link]

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Saris are so beautiful. Trudy's right; they're tricky to negotiate. I haven't worn the full blown sari, but I have a so, so pretty wrap skirt made on sari lines, and it's tricky as hell. The wind blows and it's XXX.

Herding cats for fun

woooooo hooooo.... the painkillers are starting to work. I Feels goooood. Whyever would I have put off taking drugs just because I had to drive soomewhere?

Fortunately there's an Indian fabric store right next door to my favorite thrift store. I can probably find something to match the beautiful purple, blue and gold fabric I intend to borrow.

I will make very sure to keep me nethers out of the x-rated, no matter how many safety pins have to be deployed. I'll be trying to make a good impression, you see, because the bride is DH's work associate.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Something hurts along the back of my jawline, but I can't tell if it's sinus pressure or the other top wisdom tooth coming in. I hope it's sinus pressure -- that can go away with just medicine and time.

Hey Hil, thanks for the rec on the Tofurkey italian sausage. Way better than the Morningstar. I had it tonight with pasta and a quick thrown-together tomato sauce. Yum.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Katie}} Take care of yourself.

Today was a varied day. Brandy slipped and fell in the pool. I didn't see it happen, but I'm certain she didn't go in on purpose because the top of her head was wet and she doesn't go under when she goes in on her own. And she has never gone in except to play with us. B Jr. has strep, as does his GF. Ah, young love. Poor kid was 102.7 with seriously yucky throat. At least a doc friend responded to my text and called in a script for me. The good stuff was finishing my Christmas tree which looks quite lovely. And made yummy stir fry dinner after doing my dishes. I cook often, but I am not very good about dishes.

I think it is time for wine.

Cool. The Tofurky brats are also really good. Made with actual beer.

Thrive to spite them

I feel like any time I post is complaining stuff or health stuff. But some work~ma would be appreciated muchly. I'm really behind on something and I keep putting it off and I need to not do that.

Doctor's appointment went well, the doctor is referring me to a urologist, I'm supposed to hear from them about an appointment. So that will mean more tests but hopefully something.
