When my kids drove me nuts, I usually got them interested in a messy activity like finger painting or drawing. Then I'd pop them in a bath which always calmed them down and they're easier to corral in a tub.

Thanks, y'all. He's a stubborn old bastard, but we were all hoping he'd get a chance to live a little after taking care of my grandmother for so many years. Waiting on some test results that will take a week or so. He's got diabetes and high blood pressure and goodness knows what else going on.
