OTOH, it may be that they alternate heavier loads one semester so that you have time to focus on research in the other semester. But, I think that you said that this wasn't a research position? Or am I confused?
It's not a research position, it's just teaching. I'm still going to work on research, but that's not an official part of the position. I'll ask about it.

I thought a freecycle guy flaked out on me, but I just checked my email and saw that I had an email from him saying that I'd given him the wrong phone number. I had -- I typed 2 instead of 3. I've learned that my cell phone number is just one digit off from the phone number of a congressional office, though.
