Buffy: A Guide, but no water or food. So it leads me to the sacred place and then a week later it leads you to my bleached bones? Giles: Buffy, really. It takes more than a week to bleach bones.

'Dirty Girls'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Toast and peanut butter:

Hil, I've had a Fit for two years now, without a bit of trouble. It's a small car that holds a surprising amount of stuff, and it gets great gas mileage. If you're going to be doing a ton of highway driving it might not be your best bet, but otherwise, it might be a good substitute for the Mini. Mine was about $13,000, which I believe is a bit cheaper than the Mini, too.

not your mom's socks.

Laura, I was being flip - you are a great mom; the remark was entirely Sears' fault. They call forwarded me in a circle of despair. Thank you & ND and everyone who posted for your support.

Pulled muscle and allergies = awake since 4am. Bah.

Hil, we love our Scion, but Not So Much in bad winters.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I just set up a call for a guy claiming to be suffering from priapism for "a few days now." Seriously, DAYS?!?! I really wanted to ask a whole bunch more questions but he was clearly so drunk that just getting out "priapism" almost caused a coronary.

The amusement from this momentarily relieved my annoyance at having thrown out my neck by rolling over in bed this morning. It can't be tomorrow afternoon soon enough. (silly chiropractor, not working mornings.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

He has a priapism *and* he's drunk? Wow. Good on ya, dude.

I love my Hyundai Elantra. Small hatchback, lots of space, handles well, comfortable. It's not so much with the vroom, but it's got a small engine. It's enough for short drives around town, which is mostly what I do. I could've got more vroom if I'd wanted to pay more.

Of course, part of me longs for a pony car.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've really liked the Toyota Matrixes (Matrices?) I've driven from Zipcar. Very comfortable and lots of storage.

(The VW Bug I drove in LA for the PixDesign wedding was the worst, but only because I had no idea where anything WAS. Freaky Germans and their nonstandard dashboards.)

Our wings are not tired.

Sox, I burst out laughing at your comment. My frustration at my teens is somewhat similar to my past frustration with Sears.

My sister drives a Fit. She drives a lot on mountain roads with her dog jumping in and out of the back hatch. Lots of room for a tiny car and handles well. My 6'5" son has no problem fitting in it.

I have not been in a Mini, but the Car Talk guys scared me away from them. He was talking about test driving on the highway near Boston and being convinced he was going to be blown off the road by trucks going by. Of course he was being over dramatic as Car Talk can be, but he certainly wasn't impressed with the handling.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Connie, I'm so sorry about your sister. I hope it's something they can work with.

I like my Ford Fusion because I could fit an elephant and two camels in it. It's not so much with the going fast, but it fits my ridiculous amont of stuff. And drives smoothly.

Today is a very mixed day. I finally got my overall MA result - distinction. On the other hand, I have tickets to Kristin Hersh tonight and I can't go because my PA won't work and there's no one else free to help me. (The friend I was meant to be going with is also disabled.) Blah.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I could fit an elephant and two camels in it.

Which would make for a very happy Emeline and Empress. Please get on this assignment ASAP.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Connie}}} Much ~ma for your sister. Fuck cancer!

I have a new phone, a Droid, and I am glad I got one with a full keyboard because I apparently suck at using the touch screen.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Congratulations, Seska! And sorry about your plans for tonight.
