Whatever happened to the still beating heart of a virgin? No one has any standards anymore.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

"Yeah. Like the 1970s."

Heh. Did you correct Em on her estimate of historical events?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Fuck cancer. Cause that is always in order.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

OMG, they're actually calling my references! I filled the last spot with a guy here at work, who I just remembered offered a while back.

DUDE. I've been working here since October. I'm referred. I should totally have put Buffistas in the other two spots. I don't even know if the other numbers work anymore. I haven't spoken to those guys in forever.

Der.

Nerve wracking.

Our wings are not tired.

Peace and strength to your friend and fiance, sj.

Thanks for all the support. I do like teens a lot. I enjoy watching them discover themselves. They are funny and enthusiastic, and enlivening to be around. For me parenting became easier as communication became easier. It is just horribly frustrating to watch helplessly as they make bad choices. I know we all have to make our own mistakes to learn and grow, but the watching part sucks.

I may challenge him to a card game later. He will beat me soundly because he actually remembers cards, but it will open an opportunity to communicate.

It really does help to be able to vent here. Hugs y'all.

Our wings are not tired.

Wow, they are calling references 9 months after you were hired! That is really odd.

I totally meant to post that in Natter. Yeah, they're doing the background check for switching to perm. You'd think I was referred just by having been endorsed by my boss and the CIO after all this time here, no?

But they're serious.

Hard core.

Ah, that makes more sense. If the original references are not available totally use us. I give good reference.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Fuck cancer, indeed. I'm so sorry, sj.

And I'm thinking good thoughts for the beneficent magic of a game of cards, Laura.

Stabbity stabbity splorch: Hec and I have been keeping very close and diligent tabs on our bank accounts this month, trying to be responsible and attentive and not overdrawn (and also feed our children), and in pursuit of such have been logging on and moving funds around as needed. Which apparently triggered two "excessive transaction" fees of $10 each in the last 24 hours. For once we can spare the $20, but it seriously chaps my ass that we have to.

Our wings are not tired.

Banks have caused me more stress than even teens. Evil.
