[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Congrats, Hil!

I have to go to Milwaukee and teach people cancer pharmacology in November!

Go! And check out the Folk Fair! It's probably the ultimate multicultural experience.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Alas, that's the weekend after I'm there.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Then take a couple days off, P-C. Imagine a celebration of the heritage of every ethnic group you can think of and more. All rolled up into one weekend and one building.

My high school's foreign language classes sponsored a bus trip to the Folk Fair every year. Lunch would be one item from each of six or so different booths. (Imagine Indonesian fish chips plus a yogurt dish from Turkey plus something corn-based from Peru plus, well, you get the idea.) Two folk dancing programs (adults and kids), each with about 20 different ethnic groups demonstrating their dances.

For a kid from an area where the ethnic groups ran the gamut from German to Norwegian, it was a big deal.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

yay Dr. Hil!

see ... it all adds up!

And, since there's nothing much on TV these days, can we do something lingering and painful (boiling oil optional) to your advisor?

Ooh. That sounds like a bigger version of the annual cultural fair at my cousin's elementary school.

I do heart G&S references.

The language classes at my HS used to go to it every year, too. The folk dancing was some of the most spectacular stuff I ever saw. It was worth the trip just for that.
