Yay, Hil!
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Congrats, Hil!
Fantastic news, Hil! I'm so happy for you.
Congrats Hil!
I finally get to go home tomorrow.
I think that we should get a bunch of Buffista families to all do the Nickelodeon All Access cruise together. There's one in the Caribbean in Feb, and in the Mediterranean next June. They are actually a ton of fun and amazing for families.
Congrats, Hil!
Thanks!
Anybody have any advice on how to move a few hundred miles in less than a month? I'm figuring I'll hire movers (for moving down here, we rented a U-Haul and my dad and I moved everything, but I've got way more stuff now and I'm less able to do heavy lifting.) I know I'm going to end up paying rent on both the old and the new apartment for August. I can maybe drive out there and go look at apartments this weekend, or I could throw caution to the wind and rent something that I've only seen on the internet. I need to buy a car. I also need some new clothes, since, aside from a few interview outfits, I own almost nothing work-appropriate right now.
Congrats, Hil! I'm so glad to hear you got the job!
Nora could probably give you some tips!
Congrats, Hil!
I moved over 2000 miles on one week's notice when I left for grad school.
Go there this weekend and go apartment hunting, if you spend a full weekend at it there is a good chance you can find something.
Use a moving company. If you can afford it have them pack the annoying stuff like your kitchen, and you just box the other stuff. Don't move any cheap furniture, it will cost more to move it than to sell or donate it and replace it when you there. Things like bookcases and dressers that were purchased cheaply can easily be replaced from something from Target or Ikea.
Do a clothes shopping trip after you move so that there are less items to relocate. Also purchase the car after you have moved so that you don't have to worry about transferring the registration and insurance after you have moved.
