Happy birthday, Seska!
Congrats on the good first date, P-C!
I've had a lovely lakeside time so far. Some rainy weather came through last night, though, so today I'll be finishing Feed and exploring MI's thumb in the car.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Happy birthday, Seska!

Where in the thumb are you staying, Calli? My dad's family was from Bad Axe, with a few in and around Port Austin.
I'm just south of Lexington right now. About 15 minutes up from Port Huron.
I like the name Bad Axe. I wonder what the story behind it is.
Yay on a great first date, P-C. ON a Sunday evening, no less.
Happy bday, Seska. Tea sounds lovely.
M is home sick from camp today. I think it's just a little summer cold, but he looks and sounds pathetic, poor noodle, and since it's drama camp that he's been looking forward to, I know he doesn't feel well.
He's tucked up on the couch with juice, water and Scooby-Doo.

Holy carp, that's where my father was from! I thought I'd never meet anyone else from that town.
Aw, poor M. Let's hope a little coddling gets him back on track.
Calli, according to Wikipedia the name comes from the surveyors of the area finding a damaged axe on the ground when they made camp and they listed the site as "Bad Axe Camp" on the map of the area.
No shit, Zen! That's crazy, it's not that big a town. Both of my grandparents on my dad's side grew up there. But most of their families came over from Ontario in the middle to late 1800s. Dad said they used to have huge family reunions in Windsor every year.
Happy birthday, Seska! Hooray, tea!
Congrats in the successful date, P-C. Well done.

My father's father came from Canada, probably Ontario, in the late 1800's, too. ... You don't happen to have any Stewarts in your family tree, do you?

Awesome. My mom's from Sarnia.
