Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh, I am so furious right now. I asked the DH about why his parents hadn't called about the show--his parents who we spent all of last weekend with and reminded of the date and time and how excited we were--and he said, "Oh, they forgot it was on." I said, oh no, maybe they are waiting to watch it with some other folks. They knew how important this is to you and we were all just talking about it last week. He looked at me and said, Trust me, they forgot. They forgot every play I ever did the whole time I was in theater. I couldn't believe him, and I called them.
They forgot.
DH is sad and furious, not about this, but at the reminder that his parents are such total textbook narcissists.
Scrappy, that is just awful.
Ok, turns out Topsail is a possibility. Hmm.
Scrappy, that sucks! I feel badly for J.
Jealous of ND for Scola face time.
I've seen the video of Kaylee and she is hands-down ADORABLE. We're starting the process of a dog search. I figure it's going to take us a good long while to find one that fits into our family dynamic. But there's no rush. The kids want a dog but we're taking our time.
Sean, WTF? A pillow?
sj, technology, ironically, makes me sweat. Probably not the opinion you were looking for...happy birthday.
Just watched the end of Northern Exposure for the first time ever.(I quit watching in my epic fangirl pique of "JoelNMaggieforevah!1"...little did I know it was going to happen about 8,000,000 more times.) Also, I had other shit to do, like go get carded. Now that I'm older, even those last few aren't bad, but Mr. Morrow still remains on my laminated list.
Damn, that is one chill puppy.
So I brought home the world's cutest and best-bahaved puppy EVER today.
Kaylee is polite, doesn't jump, listens, and really just wants to snuggle. I can't even tell you what a good little girl she is...so I will show you! You can click on the links below to watch a few short videos that my friend CJ, who went with me, took on her little Flip camera. As I type this, Kaylee is asleep next to the couch with her head on my foot.
I am in love.
These are all short video clips, between 20 seconds and a minute.

She is really charming and a very good girl!
She is really charming and a very good girl!
Thank you! I certainly think so.
Byron did try to kill her (several times), so I'll have to keep them apart for a bit. Baby steps. The other kitties are adjusting quickly, as you can see.
Scrappy, on a side note, I'm sorry about your DH's parents and the show. It's so hard to watch when someone we love's family lets them down. I've seen that a few times with Drew's family, and it upsets me every time.
I am so sorry to hear about J's parent's Scrappy. I've seen DH's parents do the same thing.
I love watching Kaylee's first day
I can't wait to here more about your trip, Sean.
Glad you are taking advantage of your shore leave, ND.
I'm also taking adavantage of Scola's broadband and downloading video to watch over the next 12 days.
