Looks very moving, Sean. Took me a second, I thought the horse was real, and thinking, "oy, that's a lot of crap to put on the horse every night". But then I saw, nsm. Amazing. Can't wait to hear all the details.

Our wings are not tired.

I know you're not going to believe me, but I was watching "Firefly" at 3:30 because once again the birds/raccoons eating the damned plumbs by my bedroom window woke me up...and I TOTALLY thought you should name the new puppy "Kaylee".

Seriously. I'm blown away by this play. It's so cliche to say this, but there were several moments that *literally* took my breath away. Several moments that had me weeping almost uncontrollably, except I didn't want to make a sound, because I didn't want to miss anything. The puppeteering in this play was so unbelievable.

The staging, the design, the acting and the direction all came together into something truly sublime and arresting.

I've never seen anything like it.

As my parents and I were sitting here talking about it, what I told them was that until about 7:00 pm tonight, this trip to Italy and London was the best birthday present ever.

As of now, this play is the single best birthday present I've ever received. The whole trip thing, that's a nice little footnote attached to it.

That should give you all some perspective on the effect War Horse has had on me tonight.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Sean, I'm so happy your trip's been so good and that you've enjoyed it so much. You deserve it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Damn, Sean. That sounds amazing. I think that's the show Mary Robinette Kowal was auditioning for; I think they're bringing it to New York or something.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Sean, what a *great* present for you!!! You SO needed this. I'm so glad to got to experience it (the whole trip, pretty Italian woman, etc., but mostly War Horse, since it sounds like just what your soul needed).

but I think I'd rather watch an episode of Farscape.

Ooo! I just finished it. Watched the movie.

Best. Wedding. EVER.

Okay, sleepy-bye time. Tomorrow morning, I get up, pack, get on the tube for Heathrow, and fly home. Depending on how tired I am after all that, I have two different techs this weekend, so pictures and more stories may have to wait for next week.
