Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Many sympathies, Aims.

I'm not going to suggest communicating with the MIL if it causes you more pain, but some people don't get that they are causing a problem unless you let them know.

I agree with this as far as it goes. But could Joe say something?

But, of course!

The status is NOT quo.

It has been absolutely delightful to hear about you enjoying your trip, Sean. My feelings of jealousy are quelled somewhat by someone so deserving having this vacation.

Yes, this!

I'm not going to suggest communicating with the MIL if it causes you more pain, but some people don't get that they are causing a problem unless you let them know. This isn't a friend or coworker that you can just block from life so an effort to let her know she hurt you might be helpful. People do say stupid shit, but sometimes they grow if you call them on it.

Also this. Apparently Laura is speaking for me today. Excellent! I'm sorry, though, hon. My parents know better, but I'm just waiting for ND's mom and sister to start asking, and I don't know how I'm going to handle that.

After us, right?

BWAH! It's funny because it's soooo true.

Guess what? Drew came up with the PERFECT name for future puppy! She's cute as a button, friendly, gets along with everyone, and yet has inner strength...clearly she's a KAYLEE! We saw Jess (yay!) briefly for lunch because she ended up getting out of work early, and she approves. We also think that everything is funnier with "von Pilsner" after it. (I will always call puppy Kaylee von Pilsner, much to ND's chagrin.) We've also decided Jess' future!baby should have "von Pilsner" somewhere in his/her name.

Our wings are not tired.

Kaylee! Perfect. (I like von Pilsner too)

Compassionately intolerant

Kaylee is a great name!

She is such a lucky pooch.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

She just ... well, she doesn't get to do that. Sorry.

She can do that all she wants...just not to you. Ever again. But you have to tell her that yourself. I know it's hard, but it will stop her from stomping all over your feelings in the future. Plus, it's good that she knows what's going on. I am a big believer in honesty in these sorts of situations. Honestly, My MiL would still be asking me when we are having children even AFTER my hysterectomy, if I didn't explain to her a long time ago that wasn't gonna be happening.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm so glad to have been there at the naming of Kaylee von Pilsner!

And yes, the other name suggestion that came out of lunch today was that my future offspring should be Sushi von Pilsner Alter, though I feel to really carry off a name like that one should be a "the third" at least.

I am now home, having gotten car snacks at TJ's and dyed my hair. I should be packing, but I think I'd rather watch an episode of Farscape.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

clearly she's a KAYLEE!
Oh sure, now I'll have a crush on a cute puppy dog. I'll never get a date at this rate.

but I think I'd rather watch an episode of Farscape.
Ooo! I just finished it. Watched the movie. Which, btw, blows the Stargate (tv) movies out of the water! Although, there were a couple moments of, "wow, it must be science fiction, how does she give birth while wearing leather pants !" (spoilery font to not spoil plot point in film for Jessica)

Kaylee is the best name ever!
