Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Jilli, have you ever seen that exhibit in person? You would love it.

The status is NOT quo.

Aww, poor puppy. People suck.

Some do, yes. The awesome thing is that they are balanced out by people who so do NOT suck, like this foster mom. She and her family have fostered and placed 120 dogs (pups and full grown) in the past 18 months. How awesome is that?

Heh. Somewhere Pete is grumbling, and doesn't know why. (Grumbling in a completely different way than his usual grumbling, I mean.)

Heh. Hee hee hee.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Well over half the people we've run into or interacted with in London have been rude, unpleasant, and downright hostile towards us, making us in turn kind of hostile towards each other. No one has expressly said as much out loud, but I strongly suspect it's because we're USians.

There's some press that there's some tension because of the whole BP thing- we're bringing down British Petroleum and people's pensions and crapping on Britain by railing against "British Petroleum" instead of "BP" blah blah blah. I don't know how prevalent or true this is though.

Pix, I meant to say that I am glad there are also good people like the ones who rescue those beautiful dogs.

We had a delicious vegetable curry for dinner. With so much weekend activity lately, I am having trouble keeping up with all of the CSA veg we have.

Nora, the BP thing didn't even occur to me, but that makes sense.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

How awesome is that?

That is pretty damn awesome. Wow!

Frankie boy is sprawled on me as I watch SYTYCD. He is so the perfect dog for me.

I have almost sprinted through it once, because through a comedy of errors, we only had about an hour at the V&A the time we went. If we go to the UK this fall, I am spending A DAY there.

Pretty durned awesome! Especially placing the full grown dogs, which I understand to be a challenge.

In other news, Leifur has been scratching himself a fair bit lately, and he's starting to show bald spots. I'll have to get him to the vet this weekend. He's flea free, but it could be allergies. I'm sort of inclined to think it's him getting freaked out by being stuck in the apartment for the past week or two, due to the heat wave. Maybe I shouldn't have named him after a Viking explorer.

Of course! Hadn't even thought about that. (Still think it's stupid, but it makes a bit more sense.)

Art Crawl!!!

Sean, sad that the London leg of your trip has started out so disappointingly but I'm sure that any of the lovely museums in London will be excellent to hang out. Love that they are free. When I was in London I went to the National Gallery and it was lovely to go in, spend hours in the morning and then go outside, eat lunch, and go back in and spend more hours.

Looking forward to hearing your report about War Horse. I'm jealous that you're getting to see it.
