'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Naturally, the Italians are contemptuous of the inauthentic Diet Ciao.

I believe in Europe it's Ciao Light.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Turn on your Ciao light
In the middle of an European dream...

Okay, I'm feeling better.

I am trying to go back to work today.

UTI's aren't fun. At all.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Naturally, the Italians are contemptuous of the inauthentic Diet Ciao.

And let's not forget the abomination that was New Ciao.

Also? Signed Emeline up for summer dance classes today. Poor girl is scheduled for stuff within an inch of her life. Summer school, 2 weeks of Girl Scout day camp, 8 weeks of dance classes, and vacay at the parent's cabin.

I'm glad you're feeling better, DCJ.

Thanks, Calli.

I'm hoping I'm not under another false dawn like I was Wednesday.

I'm going in early so I can pace myself.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Between Nora and Jilli, I am thinking it's time I tried absinthe.

In less happy food news, in an effort to tame my cholesterol without going on statins I am trying to switch from half and half in my coffee to non-dairy creamer. The Silk soy creamer is harshing my coffee happy right now. Sigh. What about Mocha Mix? Is it any good?

Relatedly, I am thinking I should go the Teppy route and eat oatmeal in the mornings. My kids don't much like it, so it would mean fixing two breakfasts, which is kinda impossible during the school year, but if I could manage it a few days a week that would be good.

Punishingly Intricate

I think you can also fix it the night before or do the slow cook method so it doesn't take time out of your morning to prepare.

I would be very sad if I had to give up my coffee half and half. Nothing else is quite the same.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Great updates, Sean!

Max gave us a bit of a scare Wednesday night. His mouth started bleeding when we gave him his evening meds. So we took him to the emeergency clinic. Where they decided not to run tests because he was stable, had just had blood work done a week earlier, and had been through so much lately that they didn't want to stress him out any more. Bright spot -- he's gained a little more weight.

Best guesses at this point are that his basic problem is an infected tooth, and that may have led to bleeding, or that he struggles so much when we give him his meds that the (soft rubber) tip of the piller scrapes the inside of his mouth. Hubs then decided that I'd been too rough in giving Max his meds, and he'd try it in a more gentle manner. Five minutes later with no success, he gave the piller back to me.

By the time we got home Wednesday night, it was so late that we both decided to stay home from work yesterday.

Max goes in Monday for more tests on the growth in his nose. We hope to find out once and for all what's been going on. And he's still on the same meds.
