Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ginger, have you tried the hot water/hair dryer cure? Put your arm under water as hot as you can stand (but not hot enough to burn) the pain receptors overpower the itch recptors. It also works blowing hot air with a hair dryer.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I've done the hot water thing, which particularly helps for allergy itching. Unfortunately, it all wears off eventually, and there I am at my desk or reading and find myself scratching. Perhaps I should keep a hair dryer at my desk.

Um, put the oatmeal in an old pantyhose toe, of course, right?

Just about to say that. You can put bath bombs with bits in one, too, iffn you don't want to harsh your bath mellow by picking lavender and verbena leaves off the tiles.

Erin, I get that chafey thing happening in the summer as well. I believe it was Steph who hipped me to "Body Glide." It's found in sports stores and is of the gods. Even after the injury. I can't imagine living without it.

eta: I should have addressed erin_o with that comment.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I have badly chafed the inside of my thighs, through a painful combination of skirt-wearing two hot, muggy days in a row and the plastic-ey seats on my mom's car (pretty sure a significant part of my inner left thigh is still stuck to the passenger seat. ow.) Will oatmeal and lotion help this or do i just need to stick with soft inside pants for a day or two?

A bit of powder should help. They also make a product called Body Glide which I use for my chub rub.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I have a rubber strainer for my tub drain I got at the drug store for cheap.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Antipersperant can help the chubrub get better (or at least not get worse). It can help prevent it too.
