You always think harder is better. Maybe next time I patrol, I should carry bricks and use a stake made out of butter.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

meara, I don't know if you saw my facebook status yesterday, but I just want you to be aware that the Oscar Grant murder trial might end with a verdict next week that will result in riots in Oakland. My police friends have told me that it might be announced the night of the 2nd, or the night of the 6th. Apparently murder has been thrown out, and the jury will decide on acquital or manslaughter. I am normally not an alarmist at all, but this is basically Oakland's version of the Rodney King case. I am worried about you staying in downtown Oakland when the verdict comes out.

Our wings are not tired.

My friend Robyn's husband is a Marin cop, and he has been notified that he (and cops from all over the state) will be called to Oakland, with all of their riot gear.

I am afraid for my city, to be blunt.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

73% of generic drugs are cut with itching powder.*

At this point, I believe it.

This will be... number seven, including the adjuncts.

I have started and stopped about 4 antidepressants in the last 6 months alone. Back when I was on the combo of Wellbutrin and (apparently brand-name and therefore non-itchy) Zoloft, I should have stayed with it.

So, is the assumption that it's looking like acquittal, then?

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Wishing you better antidepressant luck, Teppy. That does not sound like fun. (Neither the switching around, nor the itching.)

Hil, I love that American foods website! Someone here linked me to it, a while back. I've only bought a few things from it, though. The Girl would reach grand new heights of disapproval if I started living on Kraft Dinner.

Nanita, I cam usually cancel until 6pm that evening, but I'll double-check before I leave.

Okie doke. I am really hoping it's much ado about nothing. But, this is Oakland.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My left ankle is hurting in exactly the same way that my right ankle did when I started having trouble with it. This worries me.

Thrive to spite them

Steph I hope you feel better soon and the itching stops.

My shrink wants me back on Trazodone and I forgot why I stopped taking it.

And then I remembered - I started losing my peripheral vision on my right eye and the eye doctor said it was a rare side effect of the trazodone.

But I've tied googling it and the only thing I get is blurry vision so now I need to talk to my shrink again. And i also want to get my peripheral vision checked again, I don't think it's worse but I need to talk to the doctor.

The status is NOT quo.

Lying on the sand sipping unlimited cocktails and trying the occasional beach sport?
Life has been worse.
I aim to do it once a year.

I am intrigued by your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I think you should join me next time I go to Hawaii, Kristin. Free hotel room on Waikiki...:) (OK, the cocktails are not unlimited. They are very limited. But the malasadas are delicious!)
