Yay for confident kids challenging gender stereotypes! So cute!
smonster: BACCHANAL!!! Love.
INORITE? So laid back and not pretentious and AWESOME. Was that swing jazz band playing in the courtyard? And did you eat sandwiches or order from the chef?
It was the Jazz Lab, a three piece band.
We ordered from the chef, which was AWESOME.
Need to write a blog post about it, but am slightly hungover.
Somehow I don't think I will be donating urine to the furniture.
Nora, I've added your blog to my Google Reader. Motivation! And envy!

Bad karma, given your line of work.

Am I a bad parent for letting Emeline watch "Bones"? Am I inuring her to the concept of death and creating a serial killer?
Hil, yay! Wonderful!
And, OK. I'm gonna fill these hideous paperwork, and hope I'll get that scholarship. Wish me luck, and Paris!
Aims, I saw an article a little while ago about an 8 year-old kid who saved his 4 year old sister from a kidnapper, and made sure to scratch the guy so he could "collect DNA," which he learned from NCIS. So I think letting kids watch age-inappropriate procedurals is a good thing.

You may be setting her up for a career as an ME. Good job security (I assume), but the dinner conversations might not be what you'd like.
Funny you mention the job thing - she totally wants to "put dead people together" like Tempe.
Jessica, that's freaking sweet. Although I'm a bit afraid the Em likes Jack and [insert intern here]'s experiments a little too much. I might have to make the rule that her and Joe are not allowed in the lab unsupervised together anymore.
