note to self: a cornish hen is not a TARDIS. I had plenty of stuffing.
'Touched'
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Nachos were a huge hit
As they should be. Aaaand now I want nachos for dinner.
Usually with a cornish hen, I stuff a couple hunks of lemon up 'em. Those little birds dry out pretty quickly.
A school where I applied for a job and was rejected in the fall just emailed to ask if I'm still interested, because a one-year job just opened up.
I'm doing the hens in a clay pot so moisture probably won't be a problem.
Nice! I wish I had one of those.
I got my romertopf at a resale shop. Ooh there are good smells coming from the kitchen already.

Cool! Are you still interested?
The hens came out fantastic. Soooo tender.
Cool! Are you still interested?
Yeah. It's a school that I didn't know much about before, but I looked it up, and it's a liberal arts college with a pretty good reputation, and it's in a place that wouldn't be my first choice to live but where I would be OK with living, and the teaching load they're offering is entirely reasonable -- one of the other jobs was saying usually 4 courses a semester, but sometimes 5, and that's just a no.
