I had a meeting with my advisor today that actually went pretty well. It lasted four hours, though, and now I am exhausted and in a ton of pain. However, it's looking like I will be done writing my dissertation by Thursday at the latest.

I don't know about cornish hens in particular, but most agriculture industry animals have been being bred and raised to get bigger. I've seen pictures of modern turkeys and chickens next to pictures of the same breeds from 100 years ago, and there's a huge difference.
