Tonight we're having leftover spaetzle with gravy. I made wiener schnitzel Saturday night. The breading didn't stick very well but it tasted great.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Tonight we're having braised chicken breasts with baby carrots and peas, steamed baby potatoes, and gravy. This is what happens when a friend who's a registered dietitian AND a foodie stays with you. Yes, I'm gloating. Gloat, gloat, gloatycakes.
I had perogis with elotes filling, cauliflower and broccoli gratin, and wilted baby kale. Nom.
We had beef stroganoff made in the crockpot with london broil and broccoli.
D never had spaetzle before. I have taken his spaetzle cherry mwah hah hah hah!
We had black drum and tortellini, both with arugula pesto. Then I made these, which were awesome.
ooh that does sound awesome. Someday I'll have ramekins...
I hate when I do that thing where I ask someone for something, say "Feel free to say no," and when he does feel cast-aside and rejected...on one level, I'm not surprised. On another, I'm not feeling like I'm on the top of anyone's list nowadays.
Toddson, yay!
garlic cream sauce Ooh, you know those frozen ravioli stuffed with lobster and shrimp, and come with a little garlic butter packet? Bertolli, B-something?
They're GOOD. And are an EASY, cheap one pot mean. 15 from empty pot to dinner.
Todd, I would love to see your jewelry. And no, I didn't see the premiere of The Gates, but I'm hoping to watch it on Hulu this week.
We still have to have brunch, but I won't be free on Sundays until mid July! damned theatre.
