I just wondered something. In a same-sex couple, raising child(ren) together, does it make tougher, or just more fun, sneaking around to help the young-uns make or buy cards and gifts for Mother's Day and/or Father's Day in the same time frame as the co-parent?
I dunno, WS, but that's a good question!
I am still in the honeymoon steparent period. I am utterly charmed -- he's outside playingg car wash with the neighbor kids, and we made and went over a chore chart for his visit (yes, I made one, and bought stickers for it -- I am finding my teacher experience SO helpful, seriously).
Last night, he kissed me good night and said "I love you!" utterly unself-consciously. It was awesome.
That would be awesome, Pix. Thank-you! As an added selling point, Persephone comes with many accessories.

Aww! That is really great. I'm glad to hear things are going so well.
It's fun! Although he did just come upstrairs, all tremble-lipped and told me "You LIED to me!" cause Dad is wiped and they're not going to Toy Story tonight. "Dad and I haven't done anything together ALL WEEKEND!"
Hee. Like the 5 hours you spent together playing the new Mario Wii game yesterday while I was upstairs reading Pride & Prejudice?!
UR LIFE IS SO TRAGIC. He's all outside playing again.
Sean, I am so jealous! Have a blast in Venice!
Laga, when do you need boxes?
When I get home, I may have a voyeur treat for y'all. Shir wants me to post our fun e-mail exchanges from yesterday. You'd think she was studying. Apparently not.
I have cookie dough. Yum. (I wanted cookies, but it's way too hot to bake, and then I remembered the cookie dough recipe meant to be eaten raw, so I made that. Well, half of that. And then ate about half of it and put the rest in the fridge.)
Oh, and, in order to defend my dissertation on the date that my advisor and I agreed on, I have to turn in my final version by Wednesday. I have been emailing my advisor for over a week, asking him if there's anything he wants me to change before I turn it in. No response.
Despite working really hard not too, I made too much food. Anybody want to come over for some fritatta?
Is it worse to have a bad day at work, or quit before it gets really bad? I leave this for you to judge (watch the video!)

Hil, be sure to keep/document all the emails you've sent asking him if he has any final changes, because I'll bet he'll have some -- after you turn it in.
