Come on. You drop by for a cup of coffee, and the world's not ending? Please.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

Not sure if I've read that one, smonster, but what I have read is all SPN, actually.

Hey, I came to fic late! I didn't know it wasn't cool!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For some reason I primarily associate wing!fic with NSYNC. Never read a word of popslash of any sort, but there you go. Since I read a lot of Dean/Castiel, I bump into wings-as-erogenous-zones, but the minute the boys get wings, ita's out of there.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Not sure if I've read that one, smonster,

Happy Friday to you! [link] I actually love her Month of Open Doors and Salvation futureverse more, but they don't have wings.

I'm not into fic or SPN much these days, but I might have to read this one:

Smite Your Bitch Up - The boys teach Castiel to swear. 2050 words; PG-13 for foul language, a drunken angel, and crack.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Is there tail!fic? I've always wanted a tail.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Well, they weren't actually wings, they were WInGs (Wormhole Inducing Generators.) Am I safe from being uncool?

smonster, I'll read the wingfic later, but THIS? Made me cry, I was laughing so hard. Thank you!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It's been forever since I came in here and found that.

I know! I kinda miss that.

Right?

I am laughing at some of the fics being mentioned though. Mostly at myself for the ones I know I read too.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Interesting. The phrase "hang out" is older than I thought. I just noticed it in Anne of the Island. I'm not sure whether it meant quite the same thing then that it does now, but Phil asks, "Where do you hang out?" and Anne and Priscilla reply with their address.

Montgomery also seemed very fond of the phrase "it gives me the creeps," which I also hadn't thought was that old, but that seems to be used in exactly the same way it's used now.

These books are making me want to visit Prince Edward Island. Maybe next summer.

My favorite Grimm's Fairy Tale is about the creeps.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I've got it! I've got the creeps!

Yeah, that's an oldie.

Went to the pool for the first time this summer. Man, I am WHITE. Glowing, incandescent. I screened up good, and re-applied, but I still got a wee burn. It's ok, though, since I plan on spending all next weekend in the water.

M. LOVED it! We went with a friend and her little girls, and her 7 yo's friend, and he was able to play with 2 kids his age. It was a new swimming pool with a lazy pool and a cool kid center -- it was busy, but they had a blast. (Plus, I had the satisfaction -- tis petty, I know, but..._ of hearing him tell his mom "Don't WORRY, Mom, it's PERFECT here!"
