Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How did she get in to law school???

She tests well and has figured out a way to pay the $40K+/year tuition?

I'll figure out her name, and before any of you hire a contract attorney, double check with me.

Our wings are not tired.

Does anyone have any recommendations of books she might like?

The Grounding of Group Six by Julian Thompson was a favorite at that age.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Steph, I may have to steal those Xmas cards!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Steph, I bought Christmas cards last year from that same place - that's Wondermark, right? They're fantastic! They were a big hit among those who got it, and reinforced my reputation as a crazy lady amongst those who didn't. And so, they had the desired effect.

My other favorite Christmas cards are almost gone now - the picture is of a little black cat sitting on the porch of a warm house with a closed door, gazing off across the snowy field. I'm not sure what the intent of the artist was, but it's so SAD. I love them.

And thanks for the more book recs! I'm getting excited about this. I may read them all myself before I give them to her.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just finished book 6 of the Morganville series and the first book of the Vampire Academy series, and really enjoyed them.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

that's Wondermark, right?

Yep! A friend of mine sent me one of those cards a couple years ago.

On that note, here's one for the bee lovers.

I still have that book!

I got rid of my copy years ago in a purge, but might order it again just to re-read.
