Book: I am a Shepherd. Folks like a man of God. Mal: No, they don't. Men of God make everyone feel guilty and judged.

'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

And I really hope you hear soon on a job! A really good one in a great place. With Jewish people, even!

Would you have to lob holy hand grenades at me if I said, "Amen to that!"?

Art Crawl!!!

Any buffistas with medical knowledge around?

My ortho wants me to take Glucosomine, chondroitin, MSM and vitamin c.

The problem is that he wants me to take Glucosomine Sulfate and almost ALL of the glucosomine that's available and combined with chondroitin is glucosomine HCL. The chondroitin is sulfate.

What would the difference in effectiveness be between the two different sorts of glucosomine and is the one combined with chondroitin most often HCL because the chondroitin is a sulfate?

Thanks!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sumi, I take a formula with Glucosamine HCL, MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), and hyaluronic acid. Sulfur is good for joints and skin, and the MSM has the sulfur. Hyaluronic acid is also good for joints and skin.

According to some research I've read, adding the chondroitin to the mix isn't any better.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Can you burn a vampire with a star of david?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Can you burn a vampire with a star of david?

Depends on your canon. It does happen in the Warhol vampire movie.

Thrive to spite them

In the Anita Blake books you can.

I don't read those anymore but that was always a detail I really liked. It's a person's faith that holds the power, not really the object.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Goddammit. My aunt does not grok the subtleties of being copied on an e-mail and thought I was yelling at her for overstepping her bounds or something and is really offended and doesn't want me to come over anymore, which is the complete opposite of what I meant. I hope I can smooth things over with her and explain that I just wanted to keep her in the loop so she'd know what was up and support me.

And my dad called three times in a row and left one voicemail. I can't deal with this.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Clear things up with your aunt and then turn the phone off for a week or so. Lordy.
