I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Dude, you haven't read Anne of Green Gables?

Note to self: Don't admit to Dana that I haven't read Anne of Green Gables either.

Cassiepants, don't admit it to me, either. Just in case you were gonna.

Signed,
Is my very favorite and I own at least 3 full sets of the books, and some one offs in hardcover. Including the paperback set that came out with Megan Followes on the cover.

Keep breathing!

Still finding it hard to fathom people who haven't read or don't love Anne. I was so excited to start reading Anne of Green Gables with my youngest ones recently. DD#3 turned up her nose when I brought the book out, but after we started reading it together, both girls started reading ahead in it on their own. So now there are three bookmarks in different places, but we're still enjoying the group read.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I haven't read Anne of Green Gables either.

I never have either.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I read Anne of Green Gables when I was a kid, but never any of the sequels. I just didn't identify with Anne enough to seek them out.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh for sure TOTAL LIME now.

THe movies are great. The first one is very true to the book and the second one takes the best parts of books 2-4 and melds the stories nicely.

The third movie? Ptui. We shall never speak of it again.

And now there's some abomination with Barbara Hershey talking about Anne finds her mother's diary and her father's not really dead and what the fuck ever. Poor LM Montgomery. It's like the ghost writers for VC Andrews found some notes and went fucking nuts.

thinks

smonster - was I supposed to PayPal you shipping for some LM Montgomery books? Fucking hell, what is WRONG with me??

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

sigh ... I've never read any of the Anne books. Just never got to them. I did see some of the Megan Followes version, but just never got to them.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

And it doesn't help to tell yourself that you're wearing them in case of vampire attack?

I'm of the Anita Blake school. It doesn't work if there's no faith behind it. it's not like I'm atheist or agnostic, but I am kind of bullshitting with it.

I have never read Anne of Green Gables. Not that I was avoiding it, just haven't gotten around to it.

Happy Birthday, askye! And a happy anniversary for Shari and her DH, too!

I can't remember which of the Anne of Green Gables books I read, the first 2 or 3 for sure. I remember liking the first few, but tried to get into one of the further down ones and for some reason it just totally turned me off, so I stopped reading them. I doubt I'll go back to reread, there's very few books I do that with.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Happy Birthday, askye!

Happy Anniversary, Shari!

Happy Bloomsday!

But instead of a jewelry box, I might go with a fishing tackle box, on the grounds that it's less likely to grow legs and walk off.

I have a mix of jewelry boxes and plastic boxes with partitions, like beaders use (although I bought it at Harbor Freight Tools, so I think it's for nuts and bolts or something), and the plastic boxes are fantastic because they keep everything from becoming a jumble.
