'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Zenkitty, tell your friend that if she doesn't want to involve the police, call her local National Guard or reserve and ask to speak to someone about it. Perhaps an officer might send a couple of guys around to collect it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You know the first time I did this back in 2001, my mom totally Godwinned? I said I wasn't a soldier taking orders from a general, and she interpreted it as my calling her "a Hitler."

Also my dad yelled at me for using metaphors just because I was a high and mighty English major.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

crap. tomorrow we are having this School Of The Arts picnic (hence the brownies). As designated sound guy, I learned today I need to provide music. So while the brownies were baking, I put together a nice 2 hour playlist of summer/sun/california/schools out/party songs. Problem. Can't find box of blank media to burn a disk. Guess I'll bring my cheap-o laptop in to work tomorrow. Now, to see if I can get the playlist from the iMac onto the laptop.

Dude? :looks around for handy cluestick.:
Hmmm. Not sure how to take that. I might need a couple more whacks.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hmmm. Not sure how to take that. I might need a couple more whacks.

Dude, TMI.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Neil Gaiman just introduced Wil Wheaton to QI over twitter. Wil's excitement was adorable.

Shir should definitely shack up with omnis.

Seven years, two continents, four house moves, two kids, a stint in the army, and two jobs later, they called and asked us to dinner. All was forgiven, on both sides, and they have never failed in their love and support from that moment.

I know that was for PC, but it gives me immense hope, and I need it. Thanks, Beverly! (And I'm really glad things worked out well for you.)

Good thoughts for PC and Hil.

It means I think Andi's been 'shipping you two for years...

I would like to also point out I might be biased, because Andi and I started out with her saying she might just have to move in with me.

After I while I replied to her that it didn't sound like a bad idea...

The status is NOT quo.

Wow, PC. Nothing more to add to all the wise things everyone has said, so Ima point and nod. Good for you for taking such a difficult, but necessary, step.

I'm having weird jet lag issues. Since I basically didn't sleep last night, I thought tonight would allow me to get on East Coast time pretty easily. The first part worked--I crashed hard at 11. But then I woke up at 3 and haven't been able to fall back asleep. Argh!

Also, it's a little late now, but did anyone wish javachik a Happy Birthday today? It was her birthday, and I missed it with allthe traveling. So Happy belated Birthday, darlin'! You're the best!

Congrats to Connie and DH and Raq and DH! I did say yes to the first person who asked because I was very young and not as wise as Beverly. I don't regret that marriage, but it definitely was not right for me in the long term. This new marriage may be young, but it's very much Right. Plus, points for awesome proposal.

:: Blush ::

um. Ok. Yeah. :: Wonders what Shir thinks of all this talk ::

So! I not only got ALL my playlists exported from iMac to Win7 Laptop. But then I also remembered the cool feature of iTunes that ND taught us at the last f2f, Party DJ! So I took the "Summer" playlist as the starting point, and figure half the School has iPhones or iTouches, and will let the party DJ the show. And I also figured out how to link my phone to iTunes so I have overlord control! Mwah hahahaha! So much better than burning a stupid CD! Pffft! Now, to figure out what to connect the laptop to to make it louder! Which Meyer speakers to choose?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Up with toothache. Nerve pain I'm pretty sure, worst pain I've suffered in my life. Worse than migraines (my migraine, not saying worse than everybody migraine), worse than being kicked in genitals. 3 AM so waiting until morning when dentist opens. Took ipubufrin earlier, so drinking self unconsious not good idea. Ice does not help much.
