Nope. My high school girlfriend asked me to marry her the summer after I graduated from high school (she was a year behind me). I told her I might consider it after I graduated from college. (I ended up breaking up with her a few months later.)

Haven't asked anyone/been asked since....

Turned down the first three so far.

There was that guy on TT, with the last name "Bigham", that proposed to you.

I had a half assed proposal from a friend in the military who wanted to get a housing allowance, but I don't really count that.

So did anyone else marry the first person who asked? I've always heard that was a sign of being desperate, but heck, I liked the man and thought, "Sure."

Never been proposed to, and if I get my way, I'll marry the first one who asks. (Assuming it's The Boy.)

Yep.

Oh yes! He was the right one, at the right time. The proposal itself was pretty lame...I made him do it again, properly.

I'm not sure that I ever actually said yes to the one who proposed on the first date...but I was fairly certain that one was right too. Turned out not to be the case, but that's as it should be.

Since I have been the 'hello, we are in a relationship that is going somewhere' type, actual proposals have seemed incidental. Should I ever be blessed with the right set of circumstances again, I imagine I'll manage very differently.
