I'm all up in the law now, but damn it feels good to get my violence on.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay, PixDesigns on the East Coast!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I want to see a time travel crossover in which Robert Downey, Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes has to work on a case with Temperance. She would totally make him forget Irene. Daniel says she'd probably smack him, but that would only make him love her more.

I'm picturing her talking to him in the hotel room scene, with the carefully placed pillow, and she'd be having a perfectly rational conversation with him, possibly commenting on his physical development and any interesting structural deviations from the norm.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We're home and I am making one with the couch today (watching last night's Tony Awards!) in the hopes of having energy to clean and cook this week for a big Father's Day gathering here in Sunday.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The first time I cooked anything in the oven, it looked like a college dorm room playing Grateful Dead.

Ha! This is where the cognitive dissonance sets in, because that's when I would have freaked out and called someone.

Apparently I am just a leetle too much like Temperance.

Once upon a time, silver anniversaries were what grand-parents had--or older parents. Legally, today is only Hubby's and my 24th anniversary, but we were living together with no plans for doing otherwise for a year beforehand (stupid Utah landlords who insist on a man and a woman being married). God, we were so damned young, and if I knew then what I know now, I'm not completely sure I'd have done it. But I did, and I have, and I've spent half my life with the man. I'm not counting on a golden anniversary, a couple of times the silver one could have been rendered unattainable. Here's to my beloved, who I don't think has remembered, but he might, and I refuse to be one of those sit-com women who have tantrums because he may have forgotten. I'm just glad to have him next to me in the night--even if he does hog the pillows.

move out and draw fire

That's a lovely statement, there, Connie. Congrats on your silver-plate anniversary.

And, right there with you; we wouldn't have gotten married except for the whole part where the USG doesn't pay to send girlfriends overseas. (19 years last Wednesday).
