Dang, Stephanie. That is one big failboat full of unprofessionalism on their part. I cannot believe the boss backed up the receptionist like that.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I have to get frisco to bed so i'll be gone for a bit but, does anyone know how unemployment works? First, I have to not quit, right?
I started March 15th, and based on the very confusing CO website, it looks like i Have to work for 2 quarters, which according to their calculator, if I work into July, I"ll have worked two quarters.
And thanks for all the support. It really means a lot to me.
he thinks discussing this sort of thing in group wide emails is actually helpful.
You might want to mention that if he says that you working at home is a problem, because of what a *burden* it is to have to e-mail you on those days.
I mean, seriously. If he loves group e-mails so much, then he needs to be consistent.
Oh wow habanero cheetos are yummy.
Shir and Stephanie, I'm sorry that these crappy things are happening to you. I wish I had something better to say about each of them. But all I've got is {{{{}}}} for you.
Ugh Stephanie, it just keeps getting worse.
Can you slog it out for a little bit and look for another position in the meantime? What does your husband think? I'm guessing he's a bit boggled by the upside down hierarchy.
Oh, Maria. What a worry for your mom and you. Much eye~ma for her.
Maria, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Decision and health~ma to her and coping ~ma to you.
Stephanie, I think you have to work two FULL quarters. Though usually if you can prove previous employment in another state (...not sure if Puerto Rico counts) it adds up. There's usually timelines and stuff--like, when I got laid off here in Washington, I hadn't worked two quarters in Washington, so Maryland (where I HAD worked previously) was paying in to part of it.
But yeah, they also would likely contest it, because it will make their unemployment insurance go up, especially if they just fired that other guy...
